Our majestic Brooke pictured at 9.5 yrs of age
July 14th, 1992 - April 27th, 2005
Brooke as she was fondly known by, was purchased by me as a 7 week old puppy from Balcroft kennels in 1992. After great considerations of many kennels, I chose Brooke to became our foundation female for our second line.... and we never looked back.
Brooke's first litter was born in 1995, and from this litter I chose her daughter, Jaunenoir's Whispering Rivulet WC, who in turn gave us CAN CH Jaunenoir's QT Bugleboy Bumper and Jaunenoir's Highness MacBeth (Can Ch pointed). Beth was bred to Tuxedo who produced our "stars", CAN CH Jaunenoir's Gemini and Jaunenoir's Northernskyandromeda (who lives at Marita kennels). From Brooke's litter in 1999, Brooke and Walker produced 2 Lions Foundation Dog Guides, and 1 Canadian Champion. From this same litter, I kept Brooke's son, CAN CH Jaunenoir's Premium Butler who I co-own with Shane Salemink of Marita kennels, and Jaunenoir's Too Fit For You. who was bred in 2002. From that litter, all puppies were placed, but fortunately for us, we had CAN CH Jaunenoir's Easton come back to live with us. Easton is very active in our breeding program.
Throughout Brooke's "mothering years", she was an excellent mother, producing sound, intelligent, fine specimens of the breed, possessing wonderful "love me" temperaments. We were truly blessed to have Brooke's, very gentle, kind, loving nature shine throughout our home every day, and could not have had a better mama.
Brooke is went to the Rainbow Bridge in April 2005. She was buried on our hill where she continues to watch over us, and spend her days just "hanging out", sitting back and watching her legacy live on.

Brooke's show career was very short, however the few times she was out, she placed at the Labrador Owners Club Specialty in 1994. Although she did not obtain her Canadian Championship tiltle (of no fault of her's), she is a champion in our minds... and hers!
